Riyadh: The National Center for Meteorology has announced that it will start accepting applications for licenses and permits related to meteorological services beginning tomorrow. This initiative includes specialties defined in the executive regulations of the Meteorology Law.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the specialties available for application cover roles such as maintenance technician, weather forecaster, and meteorological observer. Additionally, the center will offer services like publishing meteorological data and accepting permit applications for existing meteorological stations. Announcements regarding applications for other types of licenses and permits will follow progressively.
The center has urged interested parties and beneficiaries to adhere to the approved permits as per the Meteorology Law and its executive regulations. It also emphasized its commitment to conducting awareness and educational programs aimed at promoting compliance and raising awareness about the significance of regulating the meteorological sector. Furthermore, the center plans to organize meetings and workshops to acquaint beneficiaries with the application process and available services.
