According to Saudi Press Agency, greenhouses play a vital role in modern agriculture by providing controlled growing environments that improve crop quality, increase productivity, conserve water, and ensure year-round production. The region has more than 4,400 greenhouses producing over 37,000 tons of tomatoes and cucumbers, in addition to crops such as peppers, zucchini, eggplant, strawberries, figs, and leafy greens.
Using advanced irrigation and climate-control technologies, greenhouses help improve water efficiency, reduce waste, and protect crops from weather conditions and pests.
