According to Saudi Press Agency, the university's method utilizes environmentally friendly, recyclable ionic liquids combined with ultrasonic technology, removing the need for external heating. This approach preserves the protein's integrity and physical properties while producing keratin with high thermal stability. The end product is suitable for biomedical, pharmaceutical, and cosmetic applications.
