According to Saudi Press Agency, the airport features 12 counters, nine arrival passport desks, six departure passport desks, and three passenger boarding bridges. It also includes five arrival gates, four departure gates, and a medical clinic. Additional services comprise car rental shops, ATMs, a secure packaging area, and various retail stores. The airport prioritizes accessibility, providing a sensory room for children with autism and two play areas, ensuring a comfortable experience for all.
The Cluster2 company announced that Najran International Airport added a direct flight to Cairo International Airport last year. Additionally, data from the first half of 2025 indicates a 21% increase in both passenger numbers and flights compared to the same period in 2024, showcasing the airport's success in attracting travelers.
The airport has received several prestigious awards, including Level 2 Airport Customer Experience Accreditation and recognition as the best airport in the Middle East for passenger experience by Airports Council International (ACI) for airports with fewer than two million passengers.
From January to August 2025, the airport's passenger capacity reached 1.2 million, with 878,904 travelers-a growth rate of over 25%. The total number of flights was 6,754, reflecting a 22% increase.
