Palm farms across Najran Region and its affiliated governorates produce premium Al-Bayad and Al-Mawakil dates, among other varieties, which are supplied to markets during the annual summer harvest season.
According to Saudi Press Agency, Ibrahim Al-Shahi, a vendor at the Najran date market, stated that this year's season has seen strong demand, particularly for Al-Bayad and Al-Mawakil dates. These dates are known for their size, taste, nutritional value, and ease of storage. He mentioned that families in the region are keen to store dates for serving guests during weddings and festive occasions. Additionally, Al-Bayad dates are highly sought after by local buyers and by buyers from outside the region, while Al-Mawakil and Al-Barni varieties also remain among consumers' favorites.
