Naif Arab University to Host Second INTERPOL Future of Policing Congress

Riyadh: Naif Arab University for Security Sciences (NAUSS) in Riyadh is scheduled to host the second International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL) Future of Policing Congress from October 13 to 14. The event is organized by INTERPOL with participation from member states and relevant regional and international organizations.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the congress will be held under the patronage of Minister of Interior, Honorary President of the Arab Interior Ministers Council, and Chairman of the Supreme Council of NAUSS Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz. This gathering aims to explore the future of policing amid rapid technological developments, assisting law-enforcement agencies in identifying potential changes and preparing to address them effectively.

The conference will bring together senior security and police officials, as well as experts in smart cities, artificial intelligence, and emerging technologies. Academics specializing in security fields will also participate. Discussions will focus on several key themes, including policing in future cities, future policing models, roles, and competency requirements, and foresight leadership for global security.
