MWL Welcomes Ceasefire Agreement Between Pakistan and Afghanistan

Riyadh: The Muslim World League (MWL) welcomed the signing of an immediate ceasefire between the governments of Pakistan and Afghanistan. In a statement, MWL Secretary-General and Organization of Muslim Scholars Chairman Sheikh Dr. Mohammed Al-Issa welcomed the agreement between Pakistan and Afghanistan to establish mechanisms aimed at consolidating lasting peace and stability through dialogue and negotiation. He expressed hope that this initiative would spare both nations and their peoples the suffering and tragedies associated with armed conflict.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the MWL praised the efforts of both governments in reaching this ceasefire agreement. The organization emphasized the importance of dialogue and negotiation as essential tools in achieving resolution and lasting peace. The MWL reiterated its commitment to supporting initiatives that promote stability in the region. Sheikh Dr. Mohammed Al-Issa also highlighted the role of international cooperation in ensuring the success of peace agreements. The MWL called on the global community to support Pakistan and Afghanistan in their efforts to maintain peace and stability.
