MWL Secretary-General Delivers Opening Address at Indonesia-hosted Dialogue on Interreligious Harmony

Jakarta: Muslim World League (MWL) Secretary-General and Organization of Muslim Scholars Chairman Sheikh Dr. Mohammed Al-Issa delivered the opening address at the Dialogue on Interreligious Harmony conference, hosted by the Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs at its headquarters in Jakarta. The event was attended by Indonesian Minister of Religious Affairs Dr. Nasaruddin Umar, along with a number of officials and religious and parliamentary leaders.

According to Saudi Press Agency, in his address, Dr. Al-Issa emphasized the importance of convening such conferences with renewed themes, grounded in shared values that support coexistence and cooperation in confronting theories of religious conflict and their impact on diverse societies, particularly, and on global peace in general.

The event also featured remarks from representatives of various religions in Indonesia, each highlighting teachings from their respective faiths on social harmony.
