Sharm el-sheikh: The Muslim World League (MWL) expressed its hope for successful outcomes from the Sharm El-Sheikh Summit for Peace, hosted by Egypt to end the war in the Gaza Strip. According to Saudi Press Agency, in a statement issued by the General Secretariat, MWL Secretary-General and Association of Muslim Scholars President Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa expressed hope that the outcomes of the summit would help alleviate the humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza, ensure the full withdrawal of the occupying government's forces, and guarantee the rapid and sufficient flow of aid to the war-torn enclave. He also emphasized the need to advance the two-state solution in line with international legitimacy resolutions and the 'New York Declaration' on a peaceful settlement of the Palestinian cause, an initiative led internationally by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in cooperation with the French Republic, as the only path to achieving lasting, comprehensive, and just peace in the region.
