Riyadh: The Muslim World League (MWL) strongly condemns the attack on UN World Food Program (WFP) trucks in the Republic of the Sudan, describing it as a grave violation of religious values and international laws at a time when the Sudanese people are suffering the consequences and devastation of war.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the MWL Secretariat denounced the targeting of civilians, relief organizations, and humanitarian workers, stressing the need to abide by relevant international laws and the provisions of the Jeddah Declaration on the protection of civilians and the security of humanitarian corridors.
The MWL reaffirmed its solidarity with Sudan and its people in these difficult circumstances, calling on all parties to prioritize the supreme interests of their country, pursue serious and effective dialogue, and commit to the outcomes of the Jeddah Talks to reach a comprehensive political solution that preserves Sudan's unity and fulfills the aspirations of its people.
