The Muslim World League (MWL) has welcomed the United Nations General Assembly's adoption of a resolution calling for an end to the Israeli occupation of Palestine. The resolution passed with a majority vote of 124. In a statement, MWL Secretary-General and Chairman of the Muslim Scholars Association Sheikh Dr. Mohammed Al-Issa highlighted the significance of the resolution as a reflection of international recognition of the Palestinian people's right to self-determination and statehood. He praised the countries that voted in favour of the resolution and urged the global community to support the Palestinian people's human and legal rights by pressing for the implementation of the resolution.
