Riyadh: The Muslim Council of Elders welcomed New York State's declaration designating January as Islamic Heritage Month, noting that this positive step reflects appreciation for Muslims' civilizational, cultural, and humanitarian contributions, as well as their role in enriching societies and promoting diversity and coexistence.
According to Saudi Press Agency, in a statement, the council emphasized that the declaration embodies growing awareness of the importance of recognizing cultural and religious diversity as a source of strength for societies. It also contributes to fostering mutual respect and building bridges of understanding among followers of different religions and cultures.
