Museums Commission to Enhance Museum, Knowledge Collaboration on Prophet’s Biography

Riyadh: The Museums Commission and Al-Salam Company (ASC), represented by the International Fair and Museum of the Prophet's Biography and Islamic Civilization, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) today at Al-Masmak Palace Museum that aims to enhance cooperation in the fields of museums and knowledge exchange related to the Prophet's biography and Islamic civilization.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the MoU entails the exchange of museum content, lectures, and research between the two sides, as well as collaboration in organizing temporary exhibitions and developing relevant technological programs. It allows for expanding areas of cooperation in the future in line with shared interests. The initiative supports national efforts to showcase the Kingdom's identity and deep-rooted history while boosting its cultural and intellectual presence locally and internationally.

The MoU calls for the formation of a joint working team of experts from both sides to design implementation plans and coordinate mutually beneficial initiatives. It also includes the exchange of necessary information and documents to support agreed-upon projects.

Museums Commission Acting Chief Executive Ibrahim Al-Sanousi noted that this step is part of the commission's broader efforts to build partnerships with cultural institutions. He emphasized the importance of collaboration with entities specializing in documenting and presenting the Prophet's biography and Islamic civilization, opening new avenues for cultural and intellectual integration that benefit the community and enhance the museum sector in the Kingdom.
