Harrat lunayyir: Harrat Lunayyir, also referred to as Harrat Al-Shaqa, is one of the Kingdom's most prominent volcanic lava fields. Its terrain stretches north of Al-Ais Governorate in Madinah Region, extending to the edges of Tabuk Region.

According to Saudi Press Agency, this expansive volcanic zone is distinguished by its remarkable geological diversity, serving as an open-air natural museum shaped over countless geological eras. It features hills and volcanic mountains of varying sizes and formations.

At the heart of this expansive field lies Mount Al-Asqa'a, a geological landmark composed of towering granite rocks, blackened by ancient lava flows and long-term weathering. Its peak retains its original formations, creating a distinct visual contrast with the dark volcanic surroundings.
