Northern Borders Region: A remarkable conjunction between the moon and the Antares star was observed last night in the skies over Northern Borders Region, creating a captivating celestial display.

According to Saudi Press Agency, President of the astronomy and space club Zahi Al-Khlaiwi noted that the conjunction occurred during the late hours of the night, with the moon appearing visually close to Antares, the brightest star in the constellation Scorpius. The phenomenon was visible to the naked eye on the southeastern horizon.

Al-Khlaiwi said that such celestial events help observers easily identify stars and constellations while highlighting the night sky's beauty. He stressed that the conjunction does not indicate an actual closeness between the two celestial bodies, but rather an apparent proximity due to their alignment along the same line of sight from Earth.
