Riyadh: The Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority (Monsha'at) has announced the launch of the sixth edition of its Ebtker Award that is aimed at fostering a culture of innovation, encouraging businesses to adopt new ideas, and raising awareness on the importance of innovation in Saudi enterprises through developing the capabilities of entrepreneurs, providing financial awards, and connecting them with interested investors. According to Saudi Press Agency, the Ebtker Award events will be held in the capital, Riyadh, and include a five-day training camp entailing programs and workshops for business owners while providing entrepreneurs the opportunity to consult with experts in key areas. The camp will also allow participants to promote their businesses, contributing to their growth and expanding their exposure to a broader investor base. From the submitted applications, 30 enterprises will qualify for the training camp phase and have the opportunity to advance to the award's final stage. Six winners will be chosen to receive a combined sum of SAR300,000 in financial awards and will automatically qualify for the Entrepreneurship World Cup finals, which brings together entrepreneurs from more than 100 countries. The winners will also be recognized as the most innovative enterprises in Saudi Arabia for 2025. The previous edition of the Ebtker Award featured 15 workshops led by a group of experts in various fields, more than 40 unique mentoring sessions for each enterprise, and three additional events designed to enhance communication among participants. The judging panel included eight experts in finance, entrepreneurship, and innovation and 11 expert trainers from various disciplines.
