Riyadh: Weather forecasts for Sunday indicate that several regions in Saudi Arabia, including Jazan, Aseer, Al-Baha, Makkah, and Madinah, may experience moderate to heavy rainfall accompanied by hail and dust-stirring winds, potentially resulting in flash floods. Fog formation is also anticipated on the highlands of these regions, as well as in the Eastern Region.
According to Saudi Press Agency, light thunderstorms with active winds are expected to affect the Najran, Riyadh, Qassim, and Hail regions. In terms of maritime conditions, winds over the Red Sea are predicted to be northwesterly to northerly at speeds ranging from 20 to 50 km/h. Wave heights are expected to vary from one meter to over two meters, indicating that the sea will range from calm to choppy.
In the Arabian Gulf, northern and central parts will experience northerly to northwesterly winds, while the southern part will see easterly to northeasterly winds at speeds of 15 to 30 km/h. Wave heights are forecasted to reach half a meter to one and a half meters, suggesting relatively calm sea conditions.
