Haql: The Saudi Water Innovation Center, affiliated with the Saudi Water Authority, has concluded the in-person camp of 'MiyahThon 2' following an intensive training program held across Haql, Jubail, and Riyadh stations, attracting 60 teams of innovators and entrepreneurs from inside and outside the Kingdom.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the camp is part of a pathway adopted by the authority to boost the innovation ecosystem in the water sector and enable local and international talent to develop practical solutions that enhance sector efficiency and support the sustainability of its resources.
A group of experts and specialists delivered a series of technical workshops and mentoring sessions focusing on advanced desalination technologies, water resources management, artificial intelligence, and innovative operating models, helping raise the teams' readiness and supporting the transition of their projects from concept to implementation.
The second edition of 'MiyahThon' serves as a key platform for supporting innovation and entrepreneurship in the water sector by providing an environment that stimulates the development of implementable solutions, deepens partnerships between innovators and supporting entities, and advances business models capable of meeting the sector's future needs.
The current edition further enhances its role in boosting partnerships between innovators and supporting bodies, creating opportunities to transform pioneering ideas into feasible projects that help shape the future of water both locally and globally.
In the coming period, the center will announce the teams qualifying for the in-person camp to be held during the Innovation Driven Water Sustainability Conference 2025, organized by the authority as an international platform to showcase the latest technologies and innovative solutions in the water field.
