Riyadh: The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, through its General Secretariat for Islamic Awareness, has received over 100,000 calls on its toll-free hotline since the beginning of the Umrah season for 1447 AH.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the hotline, 8002451000, provides an automated response service in 15 languages, including Arabic, English, French, Urdu, Indonesian, and Hausa. It operates around the clock to answer Umrah performers' inquiries. During peak seasons like Ramadan and Hajj, a direct dialing service is activated, with preachers and translators available to provide guidance in multiple languages.
These efforts are part of the ministry's commitment to educating Umrah performers on how to perform their rituals in accordance with the Quran and Sunnah, while also highlighting the ease and tolerance of Islam. This initiative also aligns with the leadership's vision to ensure the comfort of Umrah performers, allowing them to perform their rituals with tranquility.
