Ministry of Industry Issues 58,000 Certificates of Origin in September

Riyadh:The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources has announced the issuance of 58,000 certificates of origin during September. This initiative is aimed at streamlining services and enhancing accessibility for exporters in the industrial, commercial, and individual sectors.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the certificates of origin serve to verify that products exported abroad are of national origin or have achieved national-origin status. These certificates are accessible to a variety of entities, including industrial establishments, commercial companies, institutions, and individuals such as farmers, fishermen, local artisans, and those running individual businesses.

The certificates of origin are categorized into four types for national products exported to GCC countries, for those exported to other Arab countries, a unified GCC preferential certificate for exports to countries and economic blocs under free trade agreements, and a general certificate available in Arabic and English for destinations not offering preferential treatment.
