Ministry of Foreign Affairs Welcomes Results of Discussions on a Road Map to Support Peace Process in Yemen

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs welcomes the positive results of the discussions aimed at achieving a road map to support the peace process in Yemen, which were held by the Saudi communication and coordination team headed by the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to Yemen, Mohammed bin Saeed Al Jaber, with the participation of the brothers in the Sultanate of Oman with the Sana’a delegation, headed by Mohammed Abdul Salam Falita, in Riyadh, during the period from 14 to 18 September 2023. This was a continuation of the meetings the Saudi team had conducted previously with the President and members of the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council, and in Sana’a in Ramadan during which many proposals and options were adopted to develop a road map agreed upon by all Yemeni parties.

 

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also commends the contents of discussions in the meeting between His Royal Highness Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Defense, with the Sana’a delegation that visited the Kingdom, during which it was reiterated that the Kingdom continues to stand with Yemen and its brotherly people, and that it is keen to encourage the Yemeni parties to engage in the dialogue to reach a comprehensive and lasting political solution in Yemen under the supervision of the United Nations, and to move Yemen to a comprehensive renaissance and to support sustainable development for the brotherly Yemeni people, in conjunction with political stability and lasting security, allowing Yemen to integrate into the progress and development witnessed within the GCC.
