Ministry of Defense Launches Logistics Initiatives to Support Readiness and Enhance Operational Efficiency

Riyadh: The Development Program of the Ministry of Defense has launched a package of logistics initiatives aimed at improving spending efficiency, supporting the localization of military manufacturing, and modernizing military equipment and weapons systems.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the initiatives were announced during a ceremony held at the Armed Forces Officers Club in Riyadh, attended by Chief of the General Staff Gen. Fayyad bin Hamed Al-Ruwaili, Assistant Minister of Defense for Executive Affairs Dr. Khalid bin Hussein Al-Bayari, and senior commanders and chiefs of staff from the various branches of the armed forces.

These initiatives represent a key step in the ministry's development and transformation journey, focusing on rebuilding the logistics system to meet the demands of readiness in modern combat environments.

Gen. Al-Ruwaili emphasized that logistics system development is a vital pillar in supporting combat performance and ensuring the armed forces' sustainable readiness. He noted that strengthening logistical capabilities contributes to sustaining operations amid evolving challenges by improving transport systems and ensuring the efficient and responsive delivery of critical field resources.
