Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Receives Spanish Secretary of State for the Environment

Riyadh: Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Cabinet Member, and Climate Envoy Adel Al-Jubeir today received Spain's Secretary of State for the Environment Hugo Mor¡n Fern¡ndez at the ministry's headquarters in Riyadh. During the meeting, the two sides discussed aspects of cooperation in the fields of environment and climate change and ways to enhance and develop them. They also reviewed the Kingdom's efforts and initiatives to preserve the environment and reduce the impacts of climate change, and discussed a number of issues of common interest.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the meeting underscored the importance of bilateral collaboration in addressing environmental challenges and advancing climate initiatives. Both officials expressed their commitment to fostering stronger ties in environmental policies and actions, aimed at achieving sustainable development goals. The discussions also highlighted the Kingdom's proactive steps in launching various ecological projects and reforms as part of its broader commitment to international environmental standards.
