Riyadh: Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Cabinet Member, and Climate Envoy Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir met today with United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) Executive Director Inger Andersen on the sidelines of the 16th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP16) to the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD), held in Riyadh. According to Saudi Press Agency, the two officials engaged in a discussion about environmental concerns and climate-change challenges. They explored international initiatives addressing these issues and reviewed key topics set for the conference agenda. The meeting underscored the importance of collaborative efforts in tackling the pressing global challenges posed by climate change and desertification.
