Riyadh: Minister of Interior Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz received UK Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs Yvette Cooper at his office at the ministry's headquarters today. The meeting focused on enhancing cooperation between Saudi Arabia and the United Kingdom, particularly in the security sector, as part of their strategic partnership and long-standing bilateral relations.
According to Saudi Press Agency, both parties discussed current events and their security implications in the Middle East. They reiterated their mutual stance in condemning the overt attacks on Saudi Arabia and several other countries. Yvette Cooper expressed the UK's solidarity with Saudi Arabia concerning regional developments, lauding the Kingdom's efforts to ensure the safety of British nationals and other nationalities within its borders, as well as its pivotal role in maintaining regional and global security.
Several senior officials were present during the reception, underscoring the importance of the meeting and the commitment of both nations to strengthen their collaboration in security matters.
