Samarkand: Minister of Culture and Chairman of the Saudi National Commission for Education, Culture and Science Prince Bader bin Abdullah bin Farhan met today in Samarkand with Ambassador and Permanent Delegate of Syria to UNESCO Louay Fallouh on the sidelines of the 43rd UNESCO General Conference in Uzbekistan. The two officials discussed enhancing cultural cooperation between the Kingdom and Syria through international organizations, particularly UNESCO and the International Alliance for the Protection of Heritage (ALIPH), aiming to protect shared heritage and promote cultural dialogue.
According to Saudi Press Agency, Prince Bader emphasized that culture is a key priority in Saudi Vision 2030, essential for national development. He noted that cooperation with Syria will strengthen shared values and foster opportunities for knowledge exchange in the cultural sector. Fallouh praised the strong bilateral relations and expressed a desire to expand cooperation, including restoration projects and expertise exchange.
