Minister Al-Hayek’s speech came during an inspection tour of the tourist and archaeological sites of Jericho Governorate.

Al-Hayek began his tour by meeting with the Governor of Jericho Governorate, Dr. Hussein Hamayel, where Al-Hayek stressed the importance of partnership and cooperation between the various state institutions of Palestine to advance the tourism situation in Jericho Governorate, as we are all partners in providing the necessary infrastructure and services to attract tourists from different countries of the world to Palestine.

Al-Hayek talked about the success achieved in registering the site of Tell al-Sultan (ancient Jericho) on the World Heritage List and the importance of this registration in creating a qualitative addition to Palestine and its archaeological sites, i

Then the delegation headed to the World Heritage Site, Tell al-Sultan (ancient Jericho), where They listened to a full explanation of the site and the future development plans for the site, and then a visit to the Russian Museum, which contains archaeological collections that were loaned by the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities to the Russian side to be displayed in this museum, where Minister Hayek and Governor Hamayel were briefed on the archaeological collections contained in this museum, and Minister Hayek inspected, accompanied by Governor Hamayel and the mayor visited the tourist information center located in the center of Jericho, where they were briefed on the services that this center provides to tourists coming to visit Jericho.
