Menoufia University selected among best Egyptian universities in Spanish Webometrics Ranking

Menoufia University was selected among the best Egyptian universities, according to the Spanish Webometrics University Ranking.

The classification includes 14 Egyptian universities, announced President of Menoufia University, Dr. Ahmed Farag El-Kased.

Al-Kasid explained that the Webometrics classification is a system for evaluating international universities, as it covers more than 20,000 universities, pointing out that this classification is issued in Spain by the Higher Council for Scientific Research.

He added that it is a semi-annual evaluation issued in January and July of each year, and it depends on measuring the performance of universities through its websites according to several criteria: “size – reference to research – public impact”.

The evaluation aims to improve the presence of institutions of higher education and scientific research on the Internet and to encourage the publication of peer-reviewed scientific articles in an open access manner.

Dr. Ahmed El-Kased confirmed that Menoufia University supports scientific research and researchers, and invites researchers from faculty members and the supporting staff to publish more scientific research in international journals and periodicals, in addition to encouraging researchers at the university to conduct collective joint research in various disciplines in order to reach the best scientific results that serve scientific research and society.

The President of the University announced that 24,298 research papers for faculty members at Menoufia University were published in international scientific journals, and periodicals during the last period, indicating that 228 research papers were published during the past month.
