Alula: Visitors to AlUla's Old Town are transported back in time on the Memories of Ramadan Night Tour, experiencing how the holy month was celebrated in the past.
According to Saudi Press Agency, during the evening walk, a local storyteller (rawi) from the AlUla community guides participants through stories and scenes that bring to life the area's longstanding Ramadan traditions once practiced by early residents.
The tour highlights these local customs and the values they embody: unity, social harmony, and faith. It includes a special stop at the house of the moon watcher, the historic figure responsible for sighting the crescent and announcing the start of the holy month.
The Ramadan Memories Night Tour is part of the AlUla Moments Calendar, a series of interactive programs designed to showcase the region's cultural and social heritage, enrich the visitor experience, and bring past Ramadan traditions to life in an authentic setting.
