Egypt decries deadly Afghanistan mosque bombing

Egypt condemned in the strongest possible terms a terrorist bombing that targeted a mosque in eastern Afghanistan during Friday prayers leaving 62 worshipers killed and scores more wounded.

In a press release issued Friday night, the Foreign Ministry extended its deepest condolences to the families of the victims, wishing the injured a quick recovery.

It asserted that Egypt’s government and people stand in solidarity with the government and people of Afghanistan to fight against all forms of terrorism and extremism.
