83 Takfiris killed, 14 hideouts destroyed across country- Army

The General Command of the Armed Forces on Monday 4/11/2019 announced that 83 takfiris were killed and 14 terrorist hideouts were destroyed as part of military and police operations aiming at fighting terrorism across the country.

In a statement, the General Command of the Armed Forces said security forces destroyed 115 four-wheeled vehicles and seized 65 weapons of different types, 78 automatic rifles’ magazines, 20 mortar shells in addition to large quantities of ammunition and explosive materials.

The General Command of the Armed Forces said 376 explosive devices planted to target army and police forces were dismantled.

In cooperation with border guards, security forces uncovered and destroyed two tunnels, 33 unlicensed vehicles and 93 motorbikes.

Some 61 criminal and wanted elements were detained and legal measures were taken against them.

The security forces seized large quantities of drugs and three opium farms were destroyed.

During security operations, an officer and two soldiers were killed and wounded.

The statement reiterated the army and police forces’ persistence to uproot terrorism and achieve security and stability for the great Egyptian people.
