Waste-based fuel factory opened in Ain Sokhna

Environment Minister Yassmin Fouad, accompanied by Suez Governor Abdel Meguid Saqr, opened on Thursday 18/04/2019 a waste-based fuel factory in Suez’s Ain Sokhna at investments of 200 million pounds.

The plant is the biggest investment of Geocycle company, one of the companies of Lafarge Holcim Group, in the Middle east and Africa region, the governor said.

The factory, with an annual production capacity of 500,000 tons, will receive safe industrial and agricultural waste from different governorates and turn them into a high-quality fuel as an alternative to heavy fuel and Mazot.
