PM renews support for Somalia’s government

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli has reiterated Cairo’s support for the Somali government’s efforts to achieve development, security and stability in the Arab African country.

Egypt is fully ready to meet the Somali government’s needs of technical support, training and scholarships, Madbouli told Somali Foreign Minister Ahmed Isse Awad in Cairo.

The premier called for working on increasing trade exchange between Cairo and Mogadishu, said the cabinet’s spokesman, Nader Saad.

Egypt’s meat imports from Somalia could be increased given Somalia’s livestock wealth, he said, adding that plans to open A Banque Misr branch in Somalia should go ahead.

The Somali FM hailed his country’s historic relations with Egypt.
