Riyadh: The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) and HUMAIN have formalized a partnership agreement aimed at bolstering the development and deployment of AI infrastructure within Saudi Arabia. This collaboration seeks to explore investment opportunities and develop specialized studies and solutions, enhancing the growth of the AI sector and the Kingdom's capacity to expand AI applications.
According to Saudi Press Agency, Eng. Bassam Albassam, Head of the Cloud Computing and AI Enablement Office, signed the agreement representing MCIT, while Eng. Tareq Amin, CEO of HUMAIN, represented the company. The agreement emphasizes the establishment of strategic partnerships within the AI infrastructure sector and aims to improve coordination among stakeholders. This initiative is expected to foster a supportive environment for regulatory and operational advancements, attract both local and international investment, and contribute to achieving national goals related to AI and the digital economy.
The collaboration will focus on preparing and developing specialized studies and AI infrastructure solutions, facilitating the exchange of technical expertise and knowledge. Additionally, knowledge transfer and capacity building will be pursued through HUMAIN Academy, emphasizing national capability development.
