Mawhiba-Led Saudi Team Wins 10 Awards at 37th Asian Pacific Mathematics Olympiad

Riyadh: Saudi Arabia's mathematics team, represented by King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba) and the Ministry of Education, captured 10 international prizes-six bronze medals and four certificates of appreciation-at the 37th Asian Pacific Mathematics Olympiad 2025, which drew 335 students from 37 countries.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the delegation's entry formed part of Mawhiba's International Olympiads Program, one of the foundation's flagship initiatives aimed at preparing gifted students for demanding scientific disciplines through advanced, intensive training delivered by leading local coaches and international experts.

Held online, the Asian Pacific Mathematics Olympiad ranks among the most prominent mathematics competitions worldwide. It seeks to discover and encourage talented students, strengthen international links between learners and educators, and provide a platform for sharing expertise in this vital field.

This success bolsters Saudi Arabia's growing presence on the global scientific stage and underscores the Kingdom's commitment to cultivating national talent and advancing excellence and innovation as it builds a knowledge-based, creativity-driven economy.
