MADINAH: President Mohamed Ould Cheikh Ghazouani of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania arrived Saturday in Madinah to visit the Prophet’s Mosque and perform prayers there. At Prince Mohammad bin Abdulaziz International Airport, the Mauritanian president was received by several officials.
According to Saudi Press Agency, this visit marks an important spiritual journey for President Ghazouani, reflecting the strong ties between Mauritania and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The welcoming ceremony at the airport was attended by dignitaries, showcasing the significance of his visit.
The President’s itinerary includes a visit to the Prophet’s Mosque, one of the holiest sites in Islam, where he plans to perform prayers. This visit underscores the cultural and religious bonds shared by the two nations.
