Mauritanian Grand Mufti Praises Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Quran, Sunnah Competition

Grand Mufti of Mauritania Sheikh Ahmed Ould Murabit has praised the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud Competition for Memorizing the Holy Quran and the Prophetic Sunnah as a significant extension of King Salman's efforts to serve Islam and Muslims. In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency, Sheikh Murabit emphasized the competition's importance in promoting the study and understanding of the Quran and Sunnah. He highlighted the valuable prizes offered to contestants as a powerful incentive to embrace the teachings of Allah and the Prophet. The Grand Mufti underscored the competition's crucial role in fostering moderate Islamic values and countering extremism. He noted that hosting the competition in Nouakchott demonstrates the Kingdom's commitment to serving Islam worldwide, as well as its ongoing efforts to support Islam and Muslims in Mauritania and Africa.
