In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency, Sheikh Murabit emphasized the competition's importance in promoting the study and understanding of the Quran and Sunnah. He highlighted the valuable prizes offered to contestants as a powerful incentive to embrace the teachings of Allah and the Prophet. The Grand Mufti underscored the competition's crucial role in fostering moderate Islamic values and countering extremism. He noted that hosting the competition in Nouakchott demonstrates the Kingdom's commitment to serving Islam worldwide, as well as its ongoing efforts to support Islam and Muslims in Mauritania and Africa.
