Riyadh:The Islamic Republic of Mauritania has issued a strong condemnation of the recent launch of two ballistic missiles targeting Saudi Arabia. The Mauritanian government has expressed its full solidarity with Saudi Arabia, emphasizing its support for any legitimate actions the Kingdom takes to safeguard its sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the statement from Mauritania's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Mauritanians Abroad, explicitly rejects any threats to Saudi Arabia's security and stability, as well as the safety of its citizens and residents.
The Mauritanian government reiterated its unwavering solidarity with Saudi Arabia, including its leadership, government, and people. Furthermore, Mauritania supports all legitimate measures taken by Saudi Arabia to protect its sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity.
The statement also called for de-escalation and the respect of state sovereignty to promote regional security and stability.
