New Jersey: A large wildfire broke out in the US state of New Jersey yesterday, leading to the evacuation of residents and the closure of a major highway.
According to Saudi Press Agency, authorities reported that over 1,300 buildings are threatened, widespread power outages in Barnegat, and mandatory evacuations in Lacey Township, where shelters have been opened.
Fire officials stated that the fire has burned over 11.9 square kilometers; no immediate injuries were reported.
