‘Maraya Hall’ in AlUla Shines Spotlight on Arabian Horses Beauty on Saudi Arabia’s National Day

The Arabian horses have held an exceptional place in the lives of Saudi people since ancient times, with Saudis taking pride in these majestic creatures. They compose poetry, share wisdom, and craft proverbs to celebrate their beauty, speed, strength, and their role as a means of transportation and a showcase of their horsemanship.

Horses continue to hold significant importance among the residents of AlUla Governorate.

Numerous horse stables and stalls are still scattered across the governorate, used for participating in various recreational and sporting events organized by the Royal Commission for AlUla (RCU) every year, with teams from different countries taking part.

Moreover, specialized tourism providers offer unique exploration adventures that combine the beauty of the oasis and the charm of its nature with the joy of horseback riding.

Visitors have the opportunity to learn the principles of horsemanship and feed as well as care for the horses, all while accompanied by a local narrator who recounts folk tales and ancient stories about horses throughout the ages.

Coinciding with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s 93rd National Day, the people of AlUla Governorate gathered beside the “Maraya Hall,” which reflected the beauty of Arabian horses. They rode these horses while donning authentic Saudi costumes, expressing their joy on this pleasant occasion.
