Maqsid Quba Project Enhances Visitors’ Spiritual, Cultural Experience in Madinah

Madinah: The Maqsid Quba project, an innovative initiative by the Madinah Region Development Authority, aims to enrich the spiritual and cultural experience of Quba Mosque visitors, the first mosque ever established in Islam. As part of the authority's efforts to enhance the region's quality of life, the project seeks to stimulate both community and economic activities.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the architectural design of Maqsid Quba draws inspiration from the heritage of Madinah, incorporating elements such as stone from the iconic Ajwa palm trees and rawashin windows, which pay homage to the city's cultural legacy. The design also evokes the charm of old Madinah's alleys and farms, blending religious, historical, and modern influences in a unique urban setting.

Located close to the mosque, the project provides easy access for visitors to engage in prayer, while offering modern amenities such as open spaces, walkways, and courtyards with stunning views of the mosque. This creates an ideal environment for hosting year-round community events and activities.

Maqsid Quba also features a mix of traditional and contemporary restaurants and cafes, as well as commercial exhibitions that showcase the region's identity. Seasonal kiosks, designated visitor parking, and public transportation options further enhance the experience. Open seating areas overlooking the mosque and surrounding farms provide a vibrant, interactive atmosphere, making it a 24-hour destination for visitors.
