Riyadh: Manga Productions, a subsidiary of the Mohammed bin Salman Foundation “Misk,” has won the Saudi Media Forum Award in the media communication activities category for the second season of its Saudi anime series Future’s Folktales. This award recognizes the company’s dedication to creating innovative Saudi content that strengthens national identity and reaches audiences worldwide.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the recognition follows a large-scale communication and media campaign accompanying the series’ launch, which featured three global premiere screenings-two in Riyadh and one in Tokyo. These events received overwhelmingly positive feedback from both audiences and media outlets.
The campaign also included a global public relations initiative that generated 477 news articles across the Arab world and Japan. On social media, a comprehensive digital campaign garnered more than 151 million views, complemented by prominent advertisements in major streets throughout Riyadh, Jeddah, and the Eastern Region.
Winning this award underscores Manga Productions’ excellence in the entertainment media industry and reinforces the Kingdom’s reputation as a global player in anime and the creative industries. With this achievement, Manga Productions continues to enrich Arabic content on the world stage, delivering creative works that reflect authentic Saudi values and positioning the Kingdom among the leading countries in anime and meaningful entertainment.
