Manga Arabia Showcases Saudi Culture at Riyadh Book Fair

Manga Arabia participated in the Riyadh International Book Fair 2024, themed "Riyadh Reads," introducing visitors to its distinct creative graphic narrative contents that depict Saudi culture, tailored for children and youth. At its pavilion at the fair, Manga Arabia highlighted some of its achievements, including reaching 9 million downloads of its stories on its apps worldwide. It also presented the collaboration agreement it signed with the Literature, Publishing, and Translation Commission to adapt Saudi novels into manga. The project will unfold in several stages with the involvement of a group of writers and novelists, with the fair marking the launch of the project's third phase. Manga Arabia aims to acquaint the world with Saudi culture by integrating Saudi identity and city landmarks into its two graphic content magazines, one for children and one for youth. It infuses strong national values and traditions into the dramatic plots, addressing negative aspects in the societies of both youth and chil dren in an engaging and entertaining manner while reinforcing positive values, principles, and good practices. The Manga Arabia pavilion has been well-received, particularly by children, youth, and their families, who were especially captivated by the section dedicated to a book on learning manga art, alongside displays of the latest magazine editions.
