Makkah: Under the patronage of Minister of Commerce Majid Al-Kassabi, Makkah is set to host the second edition of the Makkah Halal Forum, themed "Sustainable Development through Halal," from February 25 to 27. The forum aims to reinforce Saudi Arabia's position as a global hub for the halal industry by bringing together entrepreneurs, investors, regulators, and international experts to explore the latest trends in this rapidly growing sector and highlight emerging trade and investment opportunities.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the forum will explore the adoption of modern technologies like blockchain and artificial intelligence to enhance transparency and efficiency in halal product certification processes. The three-day forum will feature specialized discussions on halal standards, innovation, and the future of Islamic finance, as well as various workshops to help companies and entrepreneurs meet global halal requirements.

The event will also host an international exhibition with over 150 participants from 15 countries, fostering trade cooperation and expanding international partnerships. The forum will include business meetings to connect investors with leading companies, alongside live cooking demonstrations by renowned international halal chefs, adding a cultural and interactive dimension to the event.

The forum serves as a key platform for discussing the global unification of halal standards, gathering representatives from international accreditation bodies such as the Standards and Metrology Institute for Islamic Countries and Indonesia's Halal Product Assurance Organizing Body. This collaboration aims to facilitate the movement of halal products across global markets and strengthen trust between consumers and manufacturers.
