Makkah Region Border Guards Apprehend Violator in Saudi Maritime Areas

Jeddah: Coastal patrols of the Border Guards in Jeddah, within the Makkah Region, have apprehended a citizen for violating safety and security regulations governing maritime activities within the kingdom's maritime zones. The individual was found fishing without a permit and using prohibited equipment. Legal procedures were initiated against him in coordination with the relevant authorities.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the Border Guards have emphasized the importance of public compliance with regulations and instructions aimed at protecting aquatic life and preserving environmental resources. They have urged citizens to report any violations affecting the environment or wildlife by contacting 911 in the Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and Eastern Regions. In other parts of the Kingdom, violations can be reported by calling 994, 999, or 996.

Authorities have confirmed that all reports will be treated with full confidentiality, ensuring that informants will not bear any responsibility.
