Makkah Public Markets Inspected to Maintain Quality and Services

Makkah: The Makkah branch of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture has intensified field monitoring of public markets and carried out inspection tours in cooperation with relevant authorities. The tours covered livestock, fruit and vegetable, and meat markets, focusing on monitoring prices and ensuring the quality of products.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the branch's Director General Waleed Al-Daghis stated that the monitoring and awareness tours aim to ensure a safe and healthy environment for consumers while enhancing the quality and efficiency of services provided. He noted that field teams carried out more than 6,000 inspection tours of public markets and slaughterhouses during February, resulting in the detection of 1,042 violations and the issuance of 306 warnings.
