Makkah: In a vibrant celebration of Founding Day, the Holy Makkah Municipality, in collaboration with Kidana Development Company, transformed the historic Ain Zubaydah into a captivating cultural experience.
According to Saudi Press Agency, visitors explored the site's legacy through interactive virtual reality tours, viewed historical manuscripts and architectural models, and enjoyed cultural and artistic performances reflecting Makkah's heritage. A traditional market further immersed visitors in the region's unique character.
The event aimed to highlight the municipality's dedication to developing historical sites and fostering a deeper connection to the Kingdom's cultural roots.
Ain Zubaydah, a testament to Abbasid-era ingenuity, was originally commissioned by Zubaydah bint Ja'far to supply water to pilgrims. The celebration effectively brought this historical landmark to life for contemporary audiences.
