Makkah: Makkah Region Mayor Musaed bin Abdulaziz Al-Dawood affirmed that investors are key partners in the city’s development during his participation in the Cityscape Global 2025 in Riyadh. He noted that the municipality has implemented a pre-qualification program for investors to ensure they possess relevant experience in the targeted sectors and to improve the quality of available investment opportunities.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Al-Dawood explained that the municipality has listed all investment opportunities on the “Forsah” and “Al-Balad Al-Ameen” platforms, with a six-month timeline for approval and implementation. These opportunities include logistics cities as well as industrial and service development projects.

He added that the municipality has removed unsuitable activities from residential neighborhoods-such as warehouses, auto repair shops, and car washes-to enhance the quality of life and improve the urban landscape. He also stated that services for free land grant schemes, including paving, lighting, and sidewalks, will be completed by 2026 to support urban expansion and accommodate continued growth in Makkah.
