Makkah Islamic Affairs Branch Prepares over 849 Mosques to Accommodate Worshippers

Makkah: The Makkah branch of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance has prepared more than 849 mosques and supporting prayer sites across Makkah and the central area to accommodate worshippers for Friday prayers, in light of the high influx of Umrah performers, visitors, and worshippers heading to the Grand Mosque.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif Al Alsheikh directed the launch of an intensive awareness campaign. This initiative involves the participation of imams, preachers, and male and female callers to Islam, communicating in multiple international languages. The campaign aims to emphasize that the multiplication of reward within the Haram boundary is not limited to prayers offered at the Grand Mosque, thereby aiming to ease congestion for Umrah performers, particularly during Taraweeh prayers.
