Makkah: Makkah Health Cluster activated the annual national blood donation campaign launched by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the initiative reflects his patronage of humanitarian work, encourages all segments of society to participate in blood donation, and underscores his commitment to promoting community participation. It aims to foster a culture of voluntary donation and support national healthcare efforts, with the goal of raising the proportion of voluntary blood donors to 100 percent of total donations. This aligns with Saudi Vision 2030's objective of building a vibrant society with integrated health.
The cluster explained that blood donation centers across hospitals in Makkah and Al Qunfudhah are open to donors throughout the week, including Fridays and Saturdays from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. The initiative extends the humanitarian efforts of Saudi leadership and represents a national and humanitarian commitment. It embodies the Kingdom's values in saving lives while promoting a culture of blood donation with a sense of responsibility and giving.
